The test that started it
A hosted renderer quietly turned a 2021 facelift Passat front into the older front. On a furniture render that is a blemish. On a listing with a price under it, it is the wrong car.
Studio listing images, checked against the car you shot. Built by Ynarchive, a design and software studio.
From one wrong render to a working product, in the order it happened, and what comes next.

Ported from three of our own tools: a listing thumbnail maker and a three-angle renderer, both guarded by checks, and an interior relighter. Python for the pixels, TypeScript for the app.
Pass and fail were not enough. A check with nothing to compare against now answers “not checked”, and a person decides.

A Renault 5 E-Tech from a forecourt, delivered on the first attempt for one image, with frame, paint and identity passed.

Asking for a blank plate did not work, so Itidem covers it itself and rejects any render that still shows a band or characters.

Separate accounts whose photos never cross, a credit ledger that charges delivered angles only, and checks that compare each angle with its clearest photo.

Import up to 1,000 vehicles from one CSV file, search and filter the list on the server, and see every place you are signed in.

Checkout, a password reset by email, team invites, and a held-out photo set to measure how well Itidem reads each photo's angle.
Why Itidem exists, and why it checks.
A listing photo sells the car. But trade and auction photos are shot on a wet forecourt under a grey sky, with a foreign plate and someone else's sign in the back. A reshoot costs a photographer and a day per batch.
Generative tools fix the background, and they lose the car. That is fine on a sofa. It is not fine on a listing with a price under it.
So Itidem treats identity as the product, not the render. Every image passes checks, and the ones that look at the car compare it with your photo, before it is allowed out. The checks run on local models, not on a paid service per call, so they are cheap, and cheap checks mean more checks.
You pay for each angle we deliver, not for each attempt. A render that fails costs you nothing, so we never have a reason to want the checks to fail.
