What does Itidem do?
Itidem turns rough dealer and auction photos into studio listing images. Before an image reaches you, it passes four checks: frame and plate look at the render itself, paint and identity compare it with the car you photographed.
You approve each vehicle before its images can be downloaded.
Which photos can I upload?
JPEG, PNG and WebP, straight from a phone or a camera. The background does not matter: nothing from it is copied into the render.
Upload at least one photo of each side you want rendered. An angle with no matching photo is not rendered and costs nothing.
Which angles can Itidem render?
Front 3/4, rear 3/4, side, front and rear. You choose the angles per vehicle; the form starts with all five.
What happens to the number plate?
Every plate the checks find on a render is covered with a blank pale-grey plate: no characters, no country band, no stars. Its shading follows the light in the render, so it does not look like a sticker.
Then the plate check rejects any render that still shows a band or characters.
What background do the renders get?
A seamless light grey photo studio, with a soft contact shadow under the tyres and a subtle floor reflection. Every vehicle gets the same studio.
The plate and the background cannot be changed per account yet.
Can I import vehicles in bulk?
Yes. Import up to 1,000 vehicles from one CSV file. Every row is checked with the same rules as the form, and each vehicle waits as “Photos needed” until you start it.
Is there an API?
Not yet. The web app talks to the render service through a job interface, but it is not open to customers.
What does Itidem check?
Four checks, in this order. Frame: the render lands on the 2528×1696 listing grid. Plate: no band or characters are left. Paint: the body colour matches your photo. Identity: the whole car matches your photo.
Paint and identity show the number they measured and the mark they needed. Frame and plate say what they found.
Why does paint say “not checked”?
On black, grey, silver and white, only lightness separates two paints, and lightness does not compare between a photo and a studio render. The check says so instead of guessing, and a person decides.
Does the identity check catch a different model year?
No. It compares the whole car, so it catches a different car, not a different model year of the same one. Check the front end yourself when the year matters, for example on a facelift.
What happens when a render fails a check?
It is tried again with the reason attached. The loop stops when every check passes, when a check cannot look, when the same complaint comes back three times in a row, or when the image budget for the angle is spent.
A stopped angle goes to a person. You can give it one more attempt.
What does a credit buy?
One delivered angle. A vehicle at three angles is three credits.
Do rejected renders cost credits?
No. A render that fails a check costs nothing. The images Itidem spends to get an angle through the checks are our cost, never yours.
Do credits expire?
No. There is no plan, no monthly minimum and no expiry.
How do I buy credits?
Checkout is not built yet. Choose a bundle on the pricing page and write to us through the contact page; we add the credits to your account by hand.
Can I add teammates?
Yes, everyone on an account works from the same vehicle list. Invites by email are not built yet, so ask us and we add them by hand.
I forgot my password. What now?
A reset by email is not built yet. Contact us and we will help. Once you are signed in, you can change your password on the Account page.
Can I see where I am signed in?
Yes. The Account page lists every live session with its device and last use. Sign out of one, or of all the others.
Can other accounts see my photos?
No. Every job and upload carries your account, lists are filtered on it, and another account asking for your job, image or cancel gets “not found”.
Who can download my images?
Only people on your account, and only after someone approved the vehicle. An approved vehicle downloads as one JPEG per angle, or every angle in one ZIP.
How is my password stored?
As a scrypt hash, never as the password itself. Sessions are a random token in an httpOnly cookie; the database keeps only its SHA-256.
